TWI for the Children camps for children in Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro - June - July 2010. The 2010 camps for children in the Balkans hosted camps in Serbia and in Kosovo plus camps for orphanages in Bosnia-Herzegovina and in Montenegro.
Balkan Scholarship Students. During school year ending June 2010, TWI helped to host a Bosnian student studying in the United States.
Leadership Training Workshop in Montenegro. In July 2010, The TWI Leadership Training Camp brought teams from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia to join our American team at the orphanage in Bijela, Montenegro. Participants from these Balkan countries and the United States met together on the grounds of the orphanage in Montenegro and participated in workshops and seminars of interest to the university students.
Learning Center for Special Needs Children in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2010, TWI provided financial support to the Learning Center in Sarajevo that works with special needs children and their families. The Learning Center for Children with Special Needs in Sarajevo is designed to teach children and their parents how to overcome disability and become active, useful members of their communities. The Learning Center in Sarajevo has been working with special needs children since 2002. The Center provides educational and emotional assistance to special needs children monthly with crafts, music and school instruction for the children and group therapy for the parents.
