TWI for the Children's Humanitarian Support in the Balkans
TWI for the Children provides funds to activities and persons of need in the Balkans. These funds are allocated based on need and our knowledge of the activity. Funds are limited and must be provided based on merit of the activity or person.
TWI
for the Children's, Director of Transportation, Vahid Minich, purchased a van for our use while in
the Balkans. The TWI 10 year old used VW van requires constant
"tender, loving
care" but, provides our team with transportation to meet our
requirements for our Camp to Kids project, Training Workshops, and for
transporting disabled children to their Learning Center activities.
In 2003, we upgraded the van by installing new windows to make
our rides a bit cooler and a roof rack to carry our baggage.
Vahid had to have his leg
amputated in 2006 and TWI is privileged to continue to have him working
for us in Sarajevo.
Support for Needy Persons:
When requested, TWI for the Children provides clothing, school supplies, sports equipment and even medical equipment to organizations schools and clinics in the Balkans. This equipment is taken with volunteers going to the Balkans as part of TWI for the Children projects.
Each Summer, Camp to Kids Teams present sports equipment to the schools visited during their time in Bosnia. This equipment usually consists of basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, and nets. This equipment is badly needed by the schools and is gratefully received. TWI for the Children has provided basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls and basketball nets to the schools we have visited during the past 10-years. We also distributed soccer uniforms as gifts. The majority of these gifts are donated by stores and persons interested in helping the children in the Balkans.
Thank you for your interest in our projects to help others. TWI for the Children needs your assistance to continue our work in the Balkans.
